The top notes are:
- iced blackberry
- starfruit (this fruit has been described as cross between papaya, orange and grapefruit)
- wild saffron (a spice derived from a flower, described as smelling like honey with grassy or hay-like notes)
The mid notes are:
- tuberose (a white floral often used in mid notes, its scent is described as complex, exotic, sweet)
- jasmine (an extremely popular floral ingredient, described as warm and rich)
- passion flower (often used in luxury perfumes)
And the base notes are:
- ebony (a wood)
- black leather
- vetiver (a tropical grass with a fruity-woody nature, also often found in luxury perfumes)
Top notes provide the first impression you get from your perfume. They last the least amount of time, anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. Middle notes, also known as the heart notes, emerge about 15 minutes after application and once the top notes have faded. Middle notes last about an hour or more and act as the heart of your signature scent. Base notes are fragrance ingredients that reveal the depth and strength of that fragrance and usually last around 24 hours.
I find this fragrance to be an extremely pleasing mix of fruity, floral, and woodsy-earthy tones. I think Avon has done a great job of striking the right balance with this particular blend of ingredients. It smells complex, with no one ingredient being noticeably predominant. It's clean and modern. It is not an overpowering fragrance at all, and I think it will have a very wide appeal. I love it. It's Fergalicious!
